  • Allow Candidates to create and store CVs and cover letters.

  • Facilitate communication between Employers and Candidates.

  • Improve platform functionality and user experience.

  • Send updates, resources, opportunities, and other communications from My Retail Career where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

We may use anonymised or aggregated information for reporting, research, and insights. This information does not identify individuals and cannot reasonably be linked back to a specific person.

4. Disclosure of Information

4.1 Candidate Information

  • When a Candidate applies for a role, their information is shared directly with the relevant Employer.

  • Once Candidate information is shared with an Employer, the Employer becomes responsible for handling that information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

  • We encourage Employers to maintain appropriate privacy and security practices, but we do not control their independent actions.

4.2 Service Providers

We may disclose information to trusted third-party service providers who assist with:

  • Hosting and IT services (all hosted in New Zealand)

  • Payment processing

  • Analytics and reporting

These providers are required to protect personal information and use it only for authorised purposes.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

4.3 Overseas Disclosure

We do not routinely disclose personal information outside New Zealand. If this changes, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
