The MYRC Christmas Talent Showcase is a new way to find Christmas and peak-season retail work without applying for role after role.You create one profile showing employers who you are, where you’re based, when you’re available, your experience and what you’re looking for. Retailers can then search the Showcase and invite candidates they’re interested in to interview or apply.

Create your free MYRC Candidate account and complete your Christmas Talent Showcase profile. Once you've completed the required information, you decide when you're ready to make your profile visible to employers.

Your profile helps employers see more than they would from a CV alone. It can include your location, availability, retail experience, strengths, preferred types of work, photo and CV, as well as an optional video introduction.

A CV can strengthen your profile, but it isn't required for your profile to be published. You can add or update your CV through your Candidate account at any time. You may use our free CV builder to create or perfect a CV.

No. The Showcase is for people at different stages of their retail career, including candidates looking for their first opportunity.Your profile is your opportunity to show employers the skills, strengths and experience you can bring.

Your profile is available to approved retail employers using the Christmas Talent Showcase when you choose to make it visible.

Yes. You're in control. You can pause your profile so employers can no longer find you and reactivate it when you're ready to start looking again.

They can send you an invitation through the Showcase. You'll see your invitations through your Candidate account and can choose whether to accept, decline or request another time.

No. The Showcase gives you another way to be discovered by retailers, but employers still decide which candidates they would like to progress through their recruitment process.

Retail Ready is MYRC's free retail-specific training. It includes eight practical modules designed to help prepare you for working in retail, covering areas such as sales, customer service and health & safety.Completing Retail Ready is optional, but it can help strengthen your profile and show employers you've taken the time to prepare.What does Retail Verified mean?Retail Verified tells employers that MYRC has checked your photo ID and your legal right to work in New Zealand.What does Retail Endorsed mean?Retail Endorsed means MYRC has completed a reference check with one of your previous employers or referees.If you earn the Retail Endorsed badge, it will appear on your profile so employers can see that you’ve taken this additional step.Retail Endorsed is optional, and you do not need this badge to be part of the Christmas Talent Showcase or to make your profile visible to employers.
